Clinical Dietitian (Part-Time)
Position Summary: This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and their respective Department. Plans therapeutic diets in accordance with physician’s diagnoses and requirements of regulatory agencies. Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans.
Hazards & Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Education & Experience: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a 4-year college or university. Position requires Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and Licensed Dietitian status, if residing in a state with licensure.
Specific Requirements: Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with clients, customers of client and support staff. Ability to write letters, summaries and reports, using prescribed format and conform to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential information.
