The radiology facility is equipped with nuclear medicine machines to help in the detection and treatment of a number of diseases. The following studies are undertaken on a regular basis: thyroid scan, lung scan, liver/spleen scan, kidney scan, blood pooling scan and bone scan. More advanced tests that are possible include: myocardial profusion (stress/rest test, heart study), a whole body bone scan, parathyroid scan, bone spect, brain scan and organ slice reconstruction.
