This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and their respective Department. Demonstrates clinical competence in the performance of clinical skills applicable to the Coupling Care Unit. Documents a comprehensive, goal-oriented plan of care which is outcome based and meets the patient’s needs throughout the course of treatment. Implements age-specific patient and family teaching based on identified needs and discharge plan. Demonstrates the knowledge of the use of unit equipment. (fetal monitor, Doppler, infant scale, etc.) Documents assessments which accurately determines the patient’s condition and reflects knowledge of current nursing practice standards. Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications. Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers. Coupling care & LDRP experience preferred.
