This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and their respective Department. Demonstrates clinical competence in critical thinking and in the performance of clinical skills applicable to the Intensive Care Unit (cardiac monitoring, recognition and treatment of heart arrhythmias, ventilator care and respiratory treatments via ventilator, cardiac drip titration, etc). Documents assessments which accurately determines the patient’s condition and reflects knowledge of current nursing practice. Demonstrates the knowledge of the use of equipment (IV & feeding pumps, cardiac monitor, Doppler, ventilator, PCA Pump, CMP Machine, Hoyer Lift, Bedside Scale, EKG, etc ). Consistently identifies and reports significant changes / abnormal findings to the physician/charge nurse/Clinical Care Coordinator and responds appropriately. Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers.
