This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and their respective Department. Demonstrates clinical competence in the performance of clinical skills applicable to the Hemodialysis Unit. Accepts basic leadership roles and responsibilities which include and not limited to, teaching ancillary and other staff members to meet the needs of clients, acts as a role model, participates in own evaluation and evaluation of others. Delegates tasks / assignments to staff as appropriate. Follows up on assigned tasks to insure successful patient outcomes. Demonstrates competency in orientation process of new hemodialysis patients including but not limited to Initial Nursing Assessment, Progress Note documentation including review of all treatment modalities, home medication review and additional patient education. Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer BLS certification. Must be comfortable working with computers.
