The Schneider Regional Medical Center Governing Board recently honored two staff members: Laverne Moorehead, an administrative assistant in the Performance Improvement Department, and Tameka Browne, a registered nurse in the Surgical Unit.
Browne, at center left with Board Chairman Cornel Williams and CEO Alice Taylor, has worked in the Surgical Unit since 2007. Her supervisors said she is strongly focused on customer service and patient care.
“That's the sign of a very competent, engaged and empowered employee,” Williams said.
The board noted how Moorehead, at center right, has
worked at SRMC for six years. She serves both God and her community,
according to the supervisor who recommended her for the honor.
“She really listens to the patients,” Vice President of Quality and Performance Improvement Elizabeth Harris said.
